(Em)Body Confidence - Audrey Boss

(Em)Body Confidence - Audrey Boss

Movement Teacher • England

We live in a world that isn’t kind, respectful or empowering towards bodies that do not fit within the (very limited) norms of what is deemed “acceptable”. We are taught to give ourselves a hard time for being too much…and not enough. We hunger for an elusive ‘ideal body’ and this shapes everything – the way we eat, the way we dress, the way we move, our self esteem and mental health, our relationships, our jobs, our leisure time.
This session is an opportunity to take back ownership of the body. Blending the Beyond Chocolate approach with Open Floor Movement Practice, we explore the stories that keep us shy, disempowered and stuck, practicing new ways to move through life with body confidence. What would our world look like if all the resources, time and energy we put into hiding and improving our bodies were channeled into more creative and empowering activities? What becomes possible when you come home to yourself and embody confidence?

BIO: Audrey is a Food & Eating Coach. She is author of the book “Beyond Chocolate: The mindful way to body confidence and a healthy relationship with food”. Her embodied approach to eating and moving is anti-diet and weight neutral. Join her to feast and dance your way to a saner world.
